as the nights draw in, i notice increasing numbers of dogs on Goose Green with light-up/flashing collars chasing after light-up balls

I know that it's a good idea to try and increase one's pet's visibility to traffic, pedestrians etc at night, but are blinking LED lights in their peripheral vision good for the dogs themselves? and what about the effect on dog-to-dog socialisation?

wouldn't a coat or harness in hi-vis fabric be a better bet?

advice please! Should i catch up with this trend and turn my own mutt into a mini Hound of the Baskervilles for our evening walk?

Not actually on Goose Green, they don?t need to be. I am not really a dog person, but the sight of dogs running around Goose Green with the sheer joy of being a dog, always lifts my spirits. Especially at night with the LED collars.
