Half term childcare // au pair // babysitting // pickups

If anyone is looking for some help during half term, or any other time, our au pair, is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays (and evenings for babysitting) in SE22. She can be available on other days with more notice.

She can look after your kids in your own home (pending any relevant Covid restrictions, obviously!), play with them, take them to the park, do nursery / school pick ups, make lunch and tea etc. She?s used to looking after ages 1 through to 11.

A fee of ?10 an hour seems in line with standard babysitting costs, but for more regular work, or full days, I?m sure she?ll be happy to negotiate a more competitive rate 😉

She?s been living with us since May, initially doing five days a week and the odd babysitting evening, and now our two year old is in nursery half the week, she only works a few days for us but is looking for extra work opportunities.

She?s 17, nearly 18, did a level 1 in childcare and is currently studying online courses in childcare and other related subjects.

    • Assume he is retiring but when I see him I will tell him that he is letting down so many of us.  I doubt if he will change his mind!  Hopefully staff will be kept on including those living on the premises  He used to run two pubs in East Dulwich
    • The question which poses itself is, is this a brand new troll or an existing troll in a new hat?
    • Bit of advice. If you see someone letting their dog shit on the pavement, dont do the righteous middle class thing and tell them to pick it up, then boast about it to your chums at the next dinner party.  Its far better to follow them home, at a distance, and take note of where they live. Later that night, go back to the address and leave some poo (a dogs or yours) all over thier doorstep. You can add a note too about cleaning up after their dog if you so wish.
    • Just had a bit of a dig around and can see that the lease is up for offer rather than renewal. Is Con retiring then? Hopefully whoever takes it on it keeps its Irish roots.... https://www.stonegatepubpartners.co.uk/find-a-pub/blythe-hill-tavern-forest_030276
