wasn't planning on watching it, but in the paper today turns out one of the contestents is ED-ish (my fave from the 'What are we thread'!!).

Might be cos I've just been doing a night shift and so need my bed, but I thought that was quite exciting.

Hello to all btw - been lurking since the w/e so thought I should register!! :))

LUCINDA KING

Lucinda, 27, is an events project manager in London.

The ex-convent girl has a degree in interior and architecture design.

She admits that she comes across as confident and flirtatious, but on the inside is sensitive and "constantly dreaming about where life will take me".

She says: "Castaway would take me away from everything I know - it would be the ultimate challenge."

Did anyone see Castaway this weekend?

I watched Friday's and yesterday's episodes (I'll get a life next week).

Wasn't very impressed with Lucinda, she seems to be a bit of a non-entity. Thought angry Scottish man was incredibly annoying, I hope they send him to live alone on a beach soon, he'd probably start an argument with himself.

    • I remember both, many, many years ago.  And the Kings Arms was at the junction of East Dulwich Road and Peckham Rye, it was huge and was converted to flats. Oh those were the days.
    • Oh no! He’s also looked after my cars for over 20 years! And v handy for us as a hop, skip and a jump from home.
    • I recently made the mistake of NOT using Aston for a furniture assembly job.  Fast forward two weeks and Aston came round, tidied up the mistakes, improved everything and then hung some shelves and pictures FLAWLESSLY.   As usual, punctual. friendly and extremely precise  -  which is very reassuring when drilling into the new walls of our extension.
    • Thanks jazzer, jazzer,  Jazzer 😀 I don't know either of those pubs, believe it or not, so I will google the Heaton Arms, thank you (and thanks for the tip about the easiest way!) ETA: Well, I googled it and apparently it was demolished in 2005 🤣 but I guess it was somewhere near Heaton Road. ETA again: It looks like I can get a 63 or 363 from the stop near the end of Barry Road, so assuming that's open that would be easier.
