Oglander Pub to be turned into flats?

Came across this link elsewhere making reference to the Oglander Pub. May be old news for some.

Anyone know if the factories that Maxtead Road back onto are being turned into flats as well ?

I believe the empty lot on the corner of Ady's / Nutbrook has residential buildings proposed - All going on around here

planning permission recently given to demolish factories and new houses to be built in their place.

yes, new flats in the same kind of external appearance as the houses in the adjoining terrace - after about 4 planning applications which had lots of objections to the design. But finally got something which might be OK, if ever built. Seems to have gone very quiet.

Hi BB - yes all these sites had notices - Oglander pub, Adys/Nutbrook corner, factory behind Adys/Maxted - and have had a long saga of applications being objected to, and comings and goings. All have now got permission. There are plans available to see at the town hall. Which one(s) are you especially interested in? Some locals may still have some plans. If you would like to keep in touch more on things like this you could join the local Peckham Residents Network mailing list; that has a sub list for Bellenden matters including planning applications: reply via PM with your name & address.

Very old news, then again, there was a great deal of hysterical bleating when the owner decided to chuck the towel in - most of the belaqting came form people who had never entered the pubs doors
