What is that fire smell sound? Direction LSL south circular

Any ideas? I have been out into the street. It seems like there is a huge fire somewhere, I am not sure where? I hope all are safe.

I could see a massive smoke from my window. Phoned fire brigade but they already knew. Lots of crackling noises which woke me up. Hope everyone is ok.

I just woke up and could smell it too. Thankfully it isn?t me going mad!

Seems as somewhere near sports ground. Seemed so much closer. The smoke and the crackling noise were truly bone-chilling.

Do you mean Peckham FC's ground? I hope not; they've had a spate of vandalism recently and this would be awful for them.

The sports ground near/towards Dulwich College. I live at the top of LL and thought initally it's somewhere near Dulwich Park.

I saw the flames rise above the Lordship Lane Estate.

It looked as if was coming from one of the houses on Dulwich Common.

It was a tree that was set alight overnight on Dulwich Common.

Thank you for letting us know. I have been wondering all day as it was such a tremendous fire and I couldn't find any information about it. Horrible but thankful no risk to life.

Lightning perhaps - the forecast showed rain but also thunderstorms that night. Or silly people.

Agreed it is a bit of a mystery. I might try and find where it was this weekend, just to see for myself.

There's been vandalism at Peckham Town FC's ground the past few months.

That includes arson, the police are meant to be dealing with it and have had clear CCTV of the kids involved but as yet no one has be caught.
