"East Dulwich" Facebook Page

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

We are the East Dulwich Facebook (www.facebook.com/E.Dulwich ) page. We have over 2,200 likes with a reach of over 300 people for each post on the page.

You may have seen or heard of us and we continually get asked if we are any affiliation to East Dulwich Forum. We are completely independent of this forum but understand that this is also another important resource for people living in the area.

We run online advertising for local businesses, groups, classes and events for a very competitive fee on our Facebook page, to allow people to promote them to an audience (many of whom may not be on ED Forum).

We also offer free promotion on the page for any charity listings, provided they are for a registered charity.

For information about exciting advertising opportunities for events, shops, services and community groups on the page email: [email protected]

Find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/e.dulwich

Follow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/e_dulwich

Any queries or suggestions to [email protected]

We hope to hear from some Forum members soon and to continue working with those of you that we already do.

Thanks,

East Dulwich Facebook

We emailed the owner of this forum and they said it was okay to post as long as we adhered to the rules of the forum. If we have broken one we will happily edit the post accordingly.

@edhistory a definition of the word "Official" is available at http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/official

We wouldn't say we're the only resource on Facebook for finding out about events and businesses in the area, however, we have the most reach and with the help of local people aim to become as helpful as this Forum. We enable the posting of flyers, any promotional copy and may soon be offering Facebook Offers to businesses.

P.S we're not exclusively for East Dulwich but Dulwich as a whole and surrounding areas (within reason). Someone tried to advertise their business in Hackney but it didn't really relate to our audience.

@ Betsy Vickers- we've no idea what foul-mouthed posts you're referring to? Users are only allowed to comment on posts we've made but not post their own. We have a rigorous moderation policy in place. Feel free to show us what you are referring to. We also have no political stance so once again no idea what you are referring to.

The incoming welfare reforms and posts about Lewisham Hospital are the only times we've ever even mentioned the government?

Thanks for calling us an idiot though Betsy, we'll take your feedback on board. There are actually two of us though so perhaps "itiotS" is what you meant.

@ RosieH- There are interesting photos and discussions on the page as well as advertising for a number of local events, shops and groups that we feel interest the people of ED.

Like, comment, share and Tweet us. We love reading your tweets!

I stand corrected. Well done for ignoring all the recent stuff but researching all the way back to 2009.

The site is definitely under new management. If you could find it somewhere in your heart to forgive the mistakes of the past then we'd love you forever.

Kind regards

    • Dave Jones came round to ours last week to paint our large bathroom, utility room, fix the render outside our windows and do some grouting. Cannot recommend him enough - he is personably, respectful, extremely good at his job and honestly very reasonably priced for the quality of work he produces. Would not hesitate to recommend. Thanks Dave!
    • A rather old article about the benefits of leaving the Common Agricultural Policy  https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/oct/10/brexit-leaving-eu-farming-agriculture I'm not sure if we have seen any benefits yet.  CAP was acknowledged to be CrAP by many I knew in this area, but major reform a challenge. Not sure why I should be posting possible benefits of Brexit - what about those of you who voted leave.  Where is Cat nowadays!
    • I am occasionally involved in a charity that helps manage a wooded area.  I hope that all of you who are posting their concern about the cherry tree also volunteer their time in similar organisations.  I expect that this would be better use of your time.
