They?ve either not looked at it or are deliberately ignoring it. I?ll call and chase tomorrow.

Thanks First mate, saved me typing, the lights were irrelevant here. Traffic was to station and to roundabout. It isn't like that all the time but much more often since planters. Also what's with all the multi coloured paint on road by planters, looks like all about to be dug up or changed again?

And still we hear nothing from the council. This is what happened at Loughborough Junction, council ignored the feedback from residents on what was going on and then had to wait until the emergency services told them their road closures were endangering lives (well they ignored them to begin with until the local MP intervened at the behest of the ambulance services).

Southwark and our local councillors seem to have their heads in the sand too, hoping the problem evaporates....

Agreed. I would also be very keen to understand the knock on impact on bus travel times. Presumably this is something that TFL monitor.

    • Labour was right not to increase fuel duty - it's not just motorists it affects, but goods transport. Fuel goes up, inflation goes up. Inflation will go up now anyway, and growth will stagnate, because businesses will pass the employee NIC hikes onto customers.  I think farms should be exempt from the 20% IHT. I don't know any rich famers, only ones who work their fingers to the bone. But it's in their blood and taking that, often multi-generation, legacy out of the family is heart-breaking. Many work to such low yields, and yet they'll often still bring a lamb to the vet, even if the fees are more than the lamb's life (or death) is worth. Food security should be made a top priority in this country. And, even tho the tax is only for farms over £1m, that's probably not much when you add it all up. I think every incentive should be given to young people who want to take up the mantle.
