Clementsann26
Does anyone have problems with the postman? Our new postman rings the bell and dumps the parcel on our doorstep and goes off! So annoying when we are not at home, even recorded delivery items are not signed for. Twirly
Complain to the post office. There's another thread about missing post - have just posted our experiences on it, and we've had similar. New Girl
Yes, I live on the Grove and I've found parcels just left on the porch and other peoples post as he hasn't checked it properly. Nightmare! holloway
i live in a block with a communal post room on grove vale, i don't know if the same postman serves us but your experiences make me think he/she does. instead of posting letters in the individual boxes they just dump the lot on a table. a note was also placed alongside recently declaring that it was just simply quicker. i've no doubt this is true however it strikes me as a bit lazy quite frankly, there are aspects of my job i don't particularaly enjoy doing but they are necessary and i get on with them. thoughts?? hellosailor
That's strange, we haven't experienced any problems like that and we're on EDG too. The usual postman is very good, is it possible that a different postman works different ends of the road? I will ask him if I see him tomorrow if someone new has started or if the road is divided between 2 postmen... Clementsann26
Its rather lazy of him, he should really sort out the post himself. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25976-postman-in-east-dulwich-grove/#findComment-582998 Share on other sites
Mousey McP
East Dulwich Grove is divided into two walks. From the corner of Glengarry road, Towards Dulwich Village still has same postie as before. The Lordship lane end, Comes under the 'Grove Vale' Delivery. At present the walk has no permanent postie. eucalyptus
I envy you - Its better than having to take a day off work to wait for a bl**dy bank card to be delivered - at an unspecified time. Or having to take time off work to go to the post office to pick up parcels.
