We need to have curtains made for virtually every window in the house we've moved into. Was going to get them done at Carol Henri but the sad news is he's sold up.

Where do people go for curtains now? All suggestions, local or otherwise, welcomed with open arms - it's getting pretty chilly and we've procrastinated long enough!

I think Dunelm Mills is great, their ready mades are really good value (often cheaper to buy and alter than buy material on its own) and they have a very wide selection of fabrics for made to measure. We go to the Dartford branch. It's loads cheaper than JL too.

Try Natural Curtain Company and have a wide variety (style and price) of fabrics. They do made to measure as well as off the peg and if you want to, you can source your own fabric. They did our lounge curtains recently and were fantastic.

    • Well, well, well! Pretty disappointing and tacky. I have some sympathy for Tesla owners but although he has shown his colours now, Elon was always a tosser.  I have always been sad and frustrated by Belair House, and I wish someone could get a grip and market it successfully as a good redto and bar. As the earlier comment said it is a beautiful building in a great location, albeit a bit shabby here and there. Over the years we have eaten and had drinks there but the last time was about 5 years ago and we haven't been back since after a cockroach crawled up my arm as I waited at the bar for my pint...

    • No they were created by a Hong Kong artist and became a craze when a K-Pop girl band became associated with them. They do limited editions and they've become a collectors item (Like Jelicat for adults)- I'm a bit ashamed that at 65 years old I know so much about them but they are very much a fashionable item. And I'm always interested in Popular Culture. Whover lost it must be gutted because I understand that when you buy one (they're boxed) you never know which one or what colour you'll get...so if the owner loved that one it may be very difficult to replace.
