Hello everyone,

This will be my first Autumn in London and I wondered what goes on for Halloween and bonfire night in the area. I imagine there will be something in Brockwell Park (for bonfire night) but would prefer something closer to home!

Thanks

Haven't quite figured out how to insert links yet, but it looks like Tulse Hill & Dulwich Hockey Club are having an event on Saturday the 3rd.

Does anyone know if Dulwich sports club are running an event this year? The link above is from 2011.

I agree it would be nice to find a local event, queuing for hours at the larger events round london isn't much fun.

If you've got children or want to go to a smaller crowd venue, then this one is great, it's contained and feels safe.

We've been going here for the last 5 years or so, and we've been to many others. But this one is my personal favourite. There's a proper indoor bar, from which you can look out over the event. They also do a BBQ, so Burgers drinks and Hotdogs are available, plus it finishes in time to get back for X factor.

Great eh ?

    • So let's never do anything that might improve an area, because it will just be dragged down to the level of what's presently there? Is that what you are saying? I don't have the time or the inclination to do the research, but I'm pretty sure that I have read  that when people who had lived in a very run down area  were given  nice surroundings, they appreciated and looked after them.
