We have two, neither of which are principally a night light-one is the glo egg that acts as a room thermometer- it is fairly bright so sits behind something on her bedside table-the light then diffuses from behind which is nice.the other is the light on our angelcare monitor-again,sits on floor behind basket of toys so light diffuses.point being a lot of the pure night lights plug in directly and you are stuck with where you put it and the brightness level.if you get something multifunctional with a bit of a cable you can hide it if too bright, or leave it out if you think it's not bright enough.i for one hate light shining in my eyes when I'm trying to sleep (even the clock seems to get brighter when I'm sleepy),which is why I'd be the advocat of have a brighter light but put something in the lights path to your baby/child so it doesn't annoy them in their sleep.wow, how to overcomplicaye the situation! Good luck whatever you choose.s

We use a Lumie Bodyclock that used to be in our room - turned up quite high for bedtime stories, lower when it's time to get into bed, and very low overnight. It was great for nighttime changes when he was little, you can turn it up just enough to see what you're doing without the extra light being a horrible shock for either of you. I would love to get something pretty like the toadstool or rabbit lights for his room and reclaim the Bodyclock but being able to control the amount of light is so useful I'm not sure that bedtime would work as well without it.

    • Caught him a few years ago at a bizarre gig in Canterbury and know his London agent.  Sad but he wants a well man.  It was a pleasure to have seen him a few times, always different!  Hadn't realised he had been a local.
    • Stewart Lee, who I have seen numerous times, played a gig 18 months ago in Peckham, turning up late and doing around 12 mins of an expected headliner slot.  He has no social media presence and is uncontactable.  I complained to the ticket agents and promoters to no avail.  Obviously I wouldn't boycott a paper due to this incident. With hard copy print declining more liberal media need support irrespective of how easy it is to pick holes.  The decline of regional and local papers has compounded the issue of so many drawing their information from the right wing/populist press, and unverified reports on social media.
    • Avoid companies that are run by non trades people Seems to be the trend lately. Check them on Companies house first. There are some great family companies or sole traders. Great work. Also though we did not use them in the end ANR Roofing based in Wimbledon offered some sound advice and quote.  Also very lovely family run firm. And Crest Roofing based in EC1V 2NX came and gave a quote and seemed very lovely with some advice also. 07934 975769
