kristymac1
I also heard that an ice-cream shop was moving onto the Lane, my info was a bit more vague in terms of location though..... Louisa
Ben and Jerrys have previously expressed an interest in Dulwich village a number of years ago now. Wouldn't be surprised if they chose around here. Louisa. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25853-ben-and-jerrys/#findComment-580181 Share on other sites
hat282
I would be very sad if B&j moving in meant that Scoop did not reopen Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25853-ben-and-jerrys/#findComment-580233 Share on other sites
mamafeelgood
Ben and jerrys = yuck. I'm with hat282 that it worries me that scoop wouldn't reopen. You can buy sugar pots of B&js in the supermarket: you can't find hazelnut, pistachio etc though. Not happy to read this possible news at all. Huguenot
Eh?What did you think went into ice cream? There doesn't seem to be anything in there that you could classify as muck? Jeremy
Sounds like an unlikely rumour to me. Although I think B&J ice cream is pretty tasty. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25853-ben-and-jerrys/#findComment-580333 Share on other sites

RosieH
Unusually, I'm with Huguenot on this one. There's nothing whatsoever in there that classifies it as muck.Milk, cream, eggs, sugar = the custard ice cream is made from. The cocoa and fats would make up the cookie dough. Is it the emulsifier and stabilisers you have a problem with? Well sheesh, I'd hate to see the response on here if someone were to buy an ice cream from a name manufacturer and it split. BrandNewGuy
Ben and Jerry's have that residual sheen of 'coolness' like Branson's Virgin operations. Clever marketing, same old crap. LondonLogCo
I think if you dig deep enough, nearly every CEO of the major Icecream producers like B&J, have had either ; a triple by-pass or keeled over with a heart attack.Make mind a double with chopped nuts!:) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25853-ben-and-jerrys/#findComment-580456 Share on other sites
