Chunx
I suppose that when the uninitiate are handing over their hard earned cash or signing their lives away for the rip off cost of ownership on what is a social housing estate, they are not told about all the joys of bad sound proofing etc. All they want is what they saw on telly in the right price range with a lovely view. I know if I was handing over the sort of prices currently on right move etc I wouldn't be a happy bunny either. JohnL
Good soundproofing doesn't help in this heat - I just get out COD-MW and shoot.(Edit - It's a game and I have headphones although it's tempting to put the battle on full volume if it's noisy out) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/258188-dawson-hill-situation/page/2/#findComment-1439656 Share on other sites

Pugwash
I am afraid that I do not have a contact - assume that it must be environmental services. Nigello
Teh council has put a sign up saying there should be no open flames, fires, BBQs, etc, padlocked to the bench (which is meant to commemorate the life of a woman who died but is now seen my some as a canvas for their squiggles and dawbs). I would have preferred a sign asking people to not flytip and take their litter home but I suppose it's a start.... KidKruger
Same sign has appeared in Goose Green a couple of days ago padlocked to a post there, I think it's just a standard sign being used for open spaces.Although a poster on another thread seems to have the view that this sign can be ignored even we're in a pandemic - and should be able to have whatever fun we can. RedstarGreen
Signs did not put people off on Dawson Hill lighting fires. The fire brigade came to the park to put out a large bonfire that people had blazing, large group of people around cheering and playing music loudly..Another disruptive night for neighbours Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/258188-dawson-hill-situation/page/2/#findComment-1441530 Share on other sites

Nigello
Yes ? I saw the patch of scorched earth and partly-burnt logs. I picked up the rubbish ? dry cider, small bottle of vodka ? la corner shop and vin de table so not a very classy crowd (as you?d expect from fire starters). RedstarGreen
Damage to the hill, by those people that visit and have no respect for the area and spoil the peace and beauty for others Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/258188-dawson-hill-situation/page/2/#findComment-1442794 Share on other sites
mary123
Lots of loud chatting from groups of people last night into the early hours and then woken up again 5.40am by some of the people who slept overnight on the hill.🤬 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/258188-dawson-hill-situation/page/2/#findComment-1442973 Share on other sites
