Autofill
I?ve been trying to work it out, As far as I can tell it?s 12.30 and then 5.00 inside the post office and then 2.30 for the post box on the outside. They are separate time for each for some reason. Also at the moment I don?t think anything is being collected from post boxes on Saturdays, but possibly is being collected from the post office.I would be grateful for any info as I post about 50 letters a day and some have been delayed quite a few days. I?m trying not to go into post offices and rely on post boxes. Annie5
Many thanks AutofillLast week I queued at the main Post Office and asked at the counter what times mail was being collected from the post box on the outside. The staff didnt know, which I found incredible ....... PSJ
Considering the queues there, sometimes it is quicker to walk up to the post office in Dulwich Village and back! KidKruger
I couldn't see clearly on the outside of the PO on LL what times postal collections were scheduled, so I went to a post box nearer me on which times are indicated clearly - the letter arrived at destination next day. If you're just posting a letter and don't need to queue at the PO to get stamps / get a parcel wrapped, just go to a local post box for more certainty. Penguin68
so I went to a post box nearer me on which times are indicated clearlyThey may be indicated clearly, but they are, at best 'indicative' and often, frankly, inaccurate. And most sadly, often collected in advance of the time stated (in arrears wouldn't be such a problem). KidKruger
fair enough Penguin, but for me, it worked with instant post.I'll obviously keep using it, and with LL PO either clueless on times / having to queue to check times it's simpler and more reliable.Penguin68 Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> so I went to a post box nearer me on which times> are indicated clearly> > They may be indicated clearly, but they are, at> best 'indicative' and often, frankly, inaccurate.> And most sadly, often collected in advance of the> time stated (in arrears wouldn't be such a> problem).
