Men's Bike to buy or borrow for NHS worker

Hi all,

My bike was nicked on Saturday and no insurance, I'm a newly qualified GP and I need my bike to get to and from work and to do home visits as I don't drive.

Horrified to find that all bikes under ?1000 are completely sold out so I'm a bit stuck. If anyone is sitting on a bike that they would consider selling/loaning/renting until the bike market is a bit less crazy that would really help me out.

Mens frame 56/58, ideally a road bike with drop handle bars as that's what I'm used to but I'm not fussy at this point.

  When they were very little I transferred money in my nephew and niece's savings accounts and wrote a little voucher to put in the card. Now they are a bit older I put half in to their savings accountd and half on to their Go Henry cards. Children neither know nor care about cheques. As for Postal Orders last time I checked I'm not in an Enid Blyton novel 😆

  I am a signatory of a trust fund which requires 2 out of 3 signatories, The investment company who manages the fund pay into the account by BACs but we pay the trust reciprocates by cheque.
