Do we have a thread for general suggestions on mental wellbeing? Been trawling the Forum for a dedicated conversation but the most relevant appear to focus on particular events, mental health days, alcohol, talks etc. All good of course.

If there is such a thread please let me know. Otherwise maybe I will start one - I am not any kind of professional but like suggestions and new ideas. There are many good talks and transcripts online which are free to view, and lots of good books to recommend of course.

I might be dreaming but if arguing could be kept to a minimum (!) and ideas thrown in simmply for people to try and help/explore then there could be some rewarding outcomes.

So if there's already a thread please let me know, otherwise I'll kick off with sharing some light and easy material soon - unless someone else kicks first.

Here is a link to meditation, talks and videos put together for pandemic care. I was sent it by a friend at beginning of pandemic. I have did some of the meditations which I found useful especially at night. I have not really looked at it all as things have evolved but thought I would share.

    • My wife was told that they'd run out of gas. Perhaps we'll all have none this time next week?   https://metro.co.uk/2025/01/11/uk-running-gas-shortage-level-warning-explained-22341055/
    • I’d also like to reiterate the above. I called Paul after seeing the recommendation here. He came the next day. Found a fix for a problem with the wiring for my fridge/freezer. He was quick to respond, totally constructive and very reasonably priced. Paul will now be my go to electrician and I’d be happy to recommend him. Kate (Paul Edgley 07802 627967)
    • Please get in touch, I have your belongings.
    • We left behind a Brickhouse fabric tote bag (white, black handles) with a sketchbook and pastels/markers/ brushes at Perks & White at Herne Hill station yesterday at about 8.45am. Sadly it has not been handed in to the Cafe or station staff. The drawings and sketches are a collection we have built over a long period so of huge sentimental value. If anyone comes across this would be grateful if they could let me me know. A photo of the sketchbook and bag behind attached (just before I realised I had left it behind) Many thanks!
