lala_anbu
Hello,We are moving to Nottingham in October after living in ED for the past 4 years. Any suggestions for areas in Nottingham and also for schools, both primary and secondary as my son is in year6 now? I will be working in QMC.Is it wiser to move to Nott and then apply for schools or vice versa?thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25649-moving-to-nottingham-in-october-2012/ Share on other sites
Indiana
My friends recently made the move to Nottingham and settled in West Bridgford which they said is like Nottinghams east dulwich - think it has good local state schools too Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25649-moving-to-nottingham-in-october-2012/#findComment-577392 Share on other sites
Jeremy
I was also going to suggest West Bridgford! The city, like most, is rather mixed, but it is definitely one of the nicer areas. taper
The formal city has some of the worst schools in England. West Bridgford is just outside the city (although in the conurbation) quite upmarket and has excellent schools. West Bridgford comp is much sought after. Parts of Wollaton and Beeston ( near the QMC) are pleasant enough with good schools. And near the University, which is lovely with grounds open to the public. The league table for schools in Notts is a good place to start. It's a fine place, with a superb football club.
