I am trying to decide between these 2 pushchairs and wondered if anyone has any advice/experience of the 2. Both are nice and lightweight but both have pros and cons. I love easy fold of the Babyjogger but the carrycot looks a bit awkward whereas the icandy carrycot looks nicer and also folds compactly, although the carrycot is heavy!

Price wise they are similar so a bit stuck.

Any advise/recommendations appreciated. I was also considering the Oyster but have discarded this for now unless anyone can persuade me otherwise!! Thanks, Sally

I have th iCandy cherry....wish I had the babyjogger, it just looks so light and easy. I love the way the hood comes down so low over the baby for naps/blocking the sun/shielding from the rain etc.

The cherry is good and the pram was especially lovely when my little one (winter baby) was born and I could wrap her up all snug. But I do now find it quite heavy and cumbersome. Basically I was happy with until I became aware of the babyjoggers existence!

Thanks MrsLL2B and snowboarder. You have confirmed a few more reasons why i am swaying towards the Babyjogger MrsLL2B! quite a few people on reviews ahve mentioned the nice big hood on the babyjogger, although weight wise there doesn't seem to be much difference between the 2. Price wise the icandy is ?320 for the main chassis and the babyjogger ?280 although after the add ons the babyjogger would be cheaper.

Snowboarder the city versa sounds like it could be a good option. The babyjogger mini can have a parent facing carrycot, and am I right in thinking once your baby goes in the seat it is likely they would face forward anyway, so not sure if the non psrent facing seat is an issue or not??

There is an excellent 20% off voucher code sale at Kiddicare which ends today so if I make my decision I will order the one I want! if anyone else needs to buy anything the code is TREAT20 and applies for anything on their website!

Well you usually transfer to the seat at 6m latest - personally I think having a parent facing seat is a massive bonus (Had for baby 1 but not baby 2 as in a double and missed it) but it's totally a personal thing. It's nice to be able to chat to them/see if they are asleep/awake etc.

In my opinion baby jogger city mini. I have both and for us icandy has been useless. Ds hated it from the start both carrycot and the seat version. Gutted as i spent a fortune on it in john lewis. As i got desperate when ds was 5mnts i ordered the bjcm but the 3 wheeler and its great. Wish i had got it sooner, could have saved myself ?1k!

Only downside is that ds cant face me but with the 4 wheeler you wont have that problem.

In my opinion, stay clear of icandy.

Good luck

Oh snowboarder just saw your post re the new version, sounds great!

OK - So I am leaning towards the Babyjogger City - I think the Versa will be slightly heaver from what I can see and about ?100 more expensive - Do you think the parent facing aspect is worth the extra (I'm sure there will be others 'extras' too) I'm happy to spend more but if babies tend to face away after the carrycot anyway, then will I need it, although snowboarder I can certainly see the attraction!

Thansk again for your replies, this is making my decision easier. Tell me I'm right to be choosing this over the Bee!!

I've used the city mini since birth without the carry cot i.e forward facing from the outset. You can still see your baby via the windows in the hood and the mesh at the back so you will be able to keep an eye on them. I found my daughter always fell asleep within seconds of the buggy moving so neither of us missed out on interacting. Once she was older (6 months) she enjoyed looking around. Maybe you could see how you get on initially and if you feel you are missing out then buy the carry cot at that point? It's difficult to predict how you and your baby get on with the various systems out there!

Tough one but yes i would get the parent facing option. My lil one is very active and loves looking around but he does prefer it when he can see me (as he can when using carseat).

So many of our friends have it and some dont mind the non parent facing factor at all so very individual choice. But again to answer your question, Yes i would.

Thanks everyone! I have gone for the Babyjogger with Carrycot which sounds like people prefer over the icandy cherry.

Snowboarder thanks for the info re the new parent facing one, but decided lighter weight and carrycot will suffice!

Also got the good deal from Kiddicare so very happy!

I've never had an issue late at night in the areas you talk about and I've been around here for 18yrs (before I moved I had the same concerns as you). Go visit your areas late at night at different times for your own peace of mind (I did)
