Scoop.ed is closing 30th September for 6 months

Apparently Sparrow Gin was a name they used for a limited period for a limited run of bottles and their real name was always going to be Little Bird Gin. That's what they said on twitter.

Since writing the post I've found out that it isn't distilled in Peckham as I (and others) were led to believe. It is in fact distilled in Clapham, but Little Bird's HQ is in Peckham. I've amended my post to avoid any confusion...

So mrs scoop...we hope to be down to see you this weekend and bid you farewell (for the time being...)!

I was certainly told the first time I tried it that it was distilled in Peckham Rye. Not that it matters that it is in fact distilled in Clapham, but detracts somehow from the "Peckham proprietary" feeling!

Yeah, tried it yesterday and it was very disappointing

The ice cream itself wasn't that nice and it seemed to be incredibly soft (is it supposed to be like that?)
