3 and a tiny bit years later, we are closing. Mainly because of flats being built above our row of shops, and our 3 year lease will be up. We hope that we will either return next year to 4 Melbourne terrace, or find an alternative. Until next year, we would like to thank all of our customers for their support and encouragement. We have so enjoyed seeing the delight on your faces!

Just under 4 weeks left and we are blessed with warmer weather, so come and grab the best gelato in the south east.

Watch this space for what's in and promotions!

Awwwwww Mrs. Scoop, I shall miss coming into your shop with my buddies. I shall miss your smiling face too. Best of luck with everything, and I really do hope you return sooner rather than later; your shop is such an asset to the area. xx :(

Don't know who will be more devastated me or my girls :(

You've seen us through a looonnnggg summer pregnancy, celebrations and commiserations (mostly injection related). Thank you so much and please come back soon!

We will miss you. Baby GG especially, who has taken quite a shine to your gorgeous little shop (perhaps due to the enormous quantities of ice cream I consumed there whilst pregnant...). So, 4 weeks to get our fill of the best hazelnut and chocolate ice creams around - see you at the weekend!

I was asked today, by one of my favourite customers btw!!, if this post was actually true, or whether it was a sports shop type closing down sale that went on for a couple of years... It made me roar, thanks Helen!

But no, we are actually closing on 30th September. We have been blessed by this last weeks beautiful weather, and seeing some great customers. Thank you all!

Last window of heat to get your gelato buds going full swing?

Perhaps!

In today, melon and chilli, pineapple, and rum and raisin.

The usuals as well as hazelnut and coffee.

Sunday, tiramisu, coconut and stracciatella.

It's that funny time of year when it's too cold for a leisurely picnic in the park, but not quite cold enough to be inside with a roaring log fire and a bowl of crumble and custard...? So here's a Top 5 to carry us through this troublesome month of torrential rain, glorious sunshine and falling leaves.

Hazelnut Ice Cream from Scoop.ED

There are sad times ahead after this weekend...our beloved Scoop.ED will be closing for the winter.? What are the people of East Dulwich to do without their ice cream fix from the loveliest ice cream shop for miles around?? We'll be down there this weekend to give Sarah and her team a good send off and snaffle a scoop of that glorious hazelnut ice cream to see us through to the Spring.

Little Bird Gin from Franklins

?

You can pick up a bottle of Little Bird Gin which is "lovingly distilled" in small batches in the Little Bird distillery in Peckham.? It's distilled from 100% grain spirit and uses?more unusual botanicals like grapefruit, ginger and citrus peel.? A smooth little gin?that comes in a quite delightful bottle.? And its from Peckham.?

    • I have a lovely photo of my son and husband which I would love to have painted as a Christmas gift. Can anyone recommend anyone locally who might do this? Many thanks
    • Second recommendation for Fiona’s, my dog has been going there for a couple of years and loves it! Great team
    • I would recommend Fiona's Diggidy Daycare which is in Loughborough Junction but they offer pick up and drop off services when they have capacity.  My dog has been going there for 3 years and loves it.
    • Ask him politely if you can help him.  I remember staring at my old flat.  Can I help you a neighbour asked.  Yes I said, I had seen that they have split it into two flats. And we had a chat about it.   Edited to add - if they are doing this in plain site then it sounds harmless, but it would be good manners to knock on your door.  In our area there is someone well known on X that walks up and down taking pictures of anything out of the ordinary, often quite trivial, supposedly for laughs.  I could speculate who the owner could be, a creative or a gangster, but that would not be appropriate!
