mumof3girlies
I went out to feed our 4 guinea pigs this morning but only found one left in our outside hutch. All the doors were secure and shut. I find it hard to believe someone would make their way in to our garden (not impossible but difficult) to release 3 guinea pigs . This is just a request if you see one or remains of one please get in touch it will help my daughters get closure on what happened to them . We are on gowlett rd. many thanks They were 1 black and 2 ginger guinea pigs Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/253676-missing-guinea-pigs/ Share on other sites
yummumbums
This might not be helpful but Might offer you an explanation. I used to put our guinea pigs in their outdoor hutch during the day. It soon became apparent that a squirrel visited them daily. Then the squirrel let them out and then squirrel also learnt to lock the door after letting them out too! We eventually had to keep them in the house unless we were at home all the time because of this! We came home to find a cat stalking them with their hutch door locked. Our immediate thought was it had to be the squirrel! I do hope the piggies return they are such lovely pets, my kids were devastated when ours died. seenbeen
Very sad. I've had real nightmares about this sort of thing and ours are not outside except when supervised...I hope you get the little darlings back . They will hide in darker places during the daytime. mumof3girlies
Thank you both for your kind words and advice, one thing is for sure if we get new guinea pigs we will get locks on the hutch to prevent tampering. There has been no sign of or guinea pigs so have to assume that foxes probably got them.
