Front garden bike sheds and the Dulwich Estate

Hi all, does anyone have any wise words for us about putting a bike shed in our front garden? We are (just) inside the Dulwich Estate and I note from their website you are supposed to apply for permission. Does anyone have experience of getting this permission, or of being denied it? Or perhaps you put one in anyway without applying? I'd be really keen to know what the reality of the situation is!

Oh dear. Didn't know that. Have had one for a year and never asked. I do hate DE. Exactly how are they held accountable?

It's their land (or they're the guardians of it) isn't it ?

They take significant decisions re planning and charge money to those of us who live within the area. Much like a local authority. Would like to think people taking such decisions can be held to account. Basic part of a democracy.
