Any advice appreciated. He wasn't hurt because I knew it would happen sooner rather than later and made sure he had a soft landing. We will have to dismantle the cot this afternoon, but surely he is too small for even a toddler bed. And he rolls around so much in his sleep. A mattress on the floor? A futon? what do other people do? And how on earth to contain him in his room? He is now trying to vault the stairgates...
Is he in a grobag? That seemed to prevent our girl from climbing out of the cot for a while, until she worked out how to undo the zipper, then we turned it back to front and that kept her more or less contained until age 2. They do stop climbing out once they realise it actually hurts... You can get bedrails to attach to the side of beds to stop them falling out in their sleep if you decide to go down the toddler bed route.
Hello, thank you all for your advice. He does sleep in a grobag, bought in the hope that it would keep him in the cot longer, but he soon figured out how to unzip it himself. Wasn't keen on side rails as he'd most likely try to jump over them. So he has been bedding down on the floor and our new futon is coming tomorrow. Fingers crossed he will like it, we haven't had much sleep since Saturday...

Put the grobag on back to front. That'll fox him for a while. Especially if it is one that zips at the front not the side and you make sure to zip it from bottom to top.

Then when he has worked that out, inside out.

That should sort you out for a couple of months.

    • yes, which properly explains why they responded to me on this occassion, as i included the CQC in my response. I have spoken to the Health Ombudsman, and they feel the regulator is more suited to the issues I have raise for more than a year now.
    • Tbh most Tesla owners are people who are concerned about the environment and have purchased accordingly- but mr nut job has soured their purchasing- so I actually sympathise with them being associated with such an awful man. But to actively promote the company given the knowledge we now know about him makes utterly unacceptable.
