one of the all time legendary commentators is gaa commentator micheal o muircheartaigh, hes well renowned back home for his in game quips, eg regarding the cork left half back sean og o hAilpin

"Sean Og O hAilpin, his fathers from Fermanagh, his mothers from Fiji, neither a hurling stronghold" and on another cork man

"Anthony Lynch the Cork corner back would be the last man to let you down, his people are undertakers"

"... the unspoken conspiracy that prevails in modern Western democracies between voters and the governments they elect: we, the voters, will get to blame you for problems that are actually ours, and in return we will allow you, the government, to pretend that you are steering the country, like a helmsman steering a ship, when you can't..." (James Meek)

"When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years" - Mark Twain

Picked this up(well obviously, more like reminded of it) on a toilet wall in my place of work.

    • There is a place on Kirkdale Sydenham Se26 across from Tesco that specialise in art parties for children or used to. Not sure of their maximum numbers or recall what they are called as haven't been that way recently.  Perhaps you can do a search for that location?
    • On saturday afternoon 4th january at about 4.30 pm I got on the P13 bus from Goose Green to Sainsburies East Dulwich . I was followed by a an elderly white woman with a crutch.,  and distracted by the really inconsiderate driver who started driving BEFORE this lady had found a seat.  When i got off I found I had left my  small green rucksack on the bus and I turned round to see it leaving the bus stop. I have been to the Abellio  lost property office for this bus ,at 301 Camberwell New Road,  but it has not been handed in. If anyone has taken it,  please text me on 07835 598930 as it has vital medicines in the front pocket . The purse inside had little more than £10 and I have cancelled all the cards. It's the medicines that matter to me.
    • Hi everyone, I’m looking for recommendations for an art-themed birthday party venue and activity in South East London for my sister, who will be turning 9. The party will be on the second weekend of Feb (so ideally inside!), and there will be around 6-10 children attending. We’re hoping to find something fun and creative, such as pottery painting, T-shirt printing, or any other hands-on art activity. Ideally, we’d like it to be reasonably priced, with a budget of under £250. If anyone knows of places in areas like East Dulwich, Peckham, Nunhead, or nearby, I’d really appreciate your suggestions! Thanks so much for your help.
