Nobody is getting mugged, if they can afford the boxes then there is no issue have a tissue and there is no shoplifters as it isn't a shop I think you are exaggerating very much remember breathing exercise now

Then they have to cover the box, the delivery, costs to run the business etc. The vendor isn?t necessarily taking the mick. They are selling to a specific market that has the spare cash to afford freshly squeezed orange juice, local free range eggs, luxury milk (from a small dairy, with animals treated to better standards and food than some), fancy French butter etc etc. Essentially the box is full of individual items sourced from other small, localish businesses and of an excellent quality. It?s an artisan box for people who value these things and can afford them. These people are also in lockdown and might want the things they are used to. I should imagine it?s not directed towards the masses. And I think that is fine. The forum covers all sorts of people with all different tastes and circumstances.

Not really "profiteering". The last I heard, supermarkets and corner shops are still open for the basic provisions. Nobody is being forced to buy their stuff.

It strikes me that this is another business, with bills and staff to pay, trying to adapt to the current situation. Maybe they've missed the mark a bit. But how much does a brownie from a fancy bakery/cafe cost usually? ?3? Sourdough, ?4. 2 litres of hipster milk, ?4. This is aimed at people who are used to paying a lot of money for premium products. I am aware that many people don't fall into this category, but again, you have a choice...

Well the brownies are the main item I guess (they're a cake shop). That's a big chunk of the price right there, plus a few quid for delivery.

But yeah I agree it's expensive. So don't buy it. Problem solved!
