There's a dog that barks every morning between 7-8am in the middle/top end of landcroft road - it seems to be put in the garden for a 20 minute barking spell before going back inside - just enough to wake me and my neighbours up. Sadly, it started before Christmas but has persisted and has now worsened in the last couple of weeks. I did drop a polite note round to the property I thought was responsible but have had no luck.

It's having a big impact on my work - the noise department at the council can't help because of the coronavirus, and I'm not sure what to do about it.

These are really stressful times - if you have a barking dog, can you please try to keep it under control? I am a dog owner myself so understand it sometimes happens - but for it to happen on a daily basis is just quite selfish, I think it's probably safe to assume that if you can hear your dog barking, your neighbours can too - and it's not a nice thing to wake up to.

I'm over on Lordship Lane so can only imagine the actual neighbours have to put up with this too, or have somehow got used to it. I really don't want to have to - please stop it.

Thanks

why not put notes through all doors around where the noise seems to come from, outlining the problem and asking anyone with info (or owner themself) to call you to discuss way forward.

You may harvest other concerned folks and be able to put a collective case forward to the owner - once you've (with neighbours help) located the dwelling in question.

You're right, other neighbours will be hearing and getting fed up of the noise too.

    • Caught him a few years ago at a bizarre gig in Canterbury and know his London agent.  Sad but he wants a well man.  It was a pleasure to have seen him a few times, always different!  Hadn't realised he had been a local.
    • Stewart Lee, who I have seen numerous times, played a gig 18 months ago in Peckham, turning up late and doing around 12 mins of an expected headliner slot.  He has no social media presence and is uncontactable.  I complained to the ticket agents and promoters to no avail.  Obviously I wouldn't boycott a paper due to this incident. With hard copy print declining more liberal media need support irrespective of how easy it is to pick holes.  The decline of regional and local papers has compounded the issue of so many drawing their information from the right wing/populist press, and unverified reports on social media.
    • Avoid companies that are run by non trades people Seems to be the trend lately. Check them on Companies house first. There are some great family companies or sole traders. Great work. Also though we did not use them in the end ANR Roofing based in Wimbledon offered some sound advice and quote.  Also very lovely family run firm.
