iPad dim only on webpages

Hello there,

Can anyone help?

I highlighted a name to email then the webpage went dim. When I go to any other app it?s fine. When I search it?s fine but it?s only when I use any page from Safari it?s really dim. Any page accessed via the browser is dim.

I have turned up the brightness full whack but that means the general brightness is overwhelming!

Could anyone suggest how to get the original levels of brightness back?

What Version of IOS is your iPad running ?

If IOS 13 you may have Dark Mode enabled.

If you want to disable it, you can go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Experimental Features

and disable the ?Dark Mode CSS Support? feature.

The same goes for apps that have been updated for iOS 13 and iPadOS 13. When you flip the switch, apps will automatically switch to the dark mode.
