Lynne
The last two days I've been getting calls from someone saying they're my credit card provider and asking me to answer various security questions. When I asked them Why, they couldn't answer, so naturally I put the phone down.It turns out they were from my credit card, but Owing to Data Retrieval Laws they couldn't tell me why they were calling!Surely this is daft? I'm supposed to give total strangers my details in this day and age? So an hour on the phone later, it's sorted when it could have been answered first time. Spartacus
Lynne I have had so many arguments with banks asking them to prove who they are before I give details over to prove who I am Totally agree with your comments but the banks / card companies don't get it. I now put the phone down then ring the number on the back of my card from another phone (to stop the holding the line open scam) Someone has to come up with a better, more secure system.
