Last night quite a number of us on Barry Road came outside to clap on our front steps at 8pm. Let?s see if we can spread this and hopefully they?ll hear us at Kings

I saw a flier saying that this was happening specifically on the 28th March, but are people doing it every night? So lovely if they are.

If so will try and get a Landells Road possie together.

So lovely.

The other one I've heard about is people putting a picture/painting of. rainbow in their window as a beacon of hope. Haven't seen this yet in East Dulwich but want to do this on the weekend.

Come on East Dulwich Grove... get out and clap for the NHS at 8:00pm every night and this Sunday in memory or Tessa Jowell....hopefully the centre will still open soon.

There sounded like more of us at my end last night, between Upland and Tyrell, an an ambulance drive past whilst we were clapping. I?m glad it?s also bringing a connection to people who are stuck inside Heather

I would also suggest that at a separate time in future we recognise the role of carers and care home staff who will be putting themselves at risk in the coming weeks to care for the most vulnerable as well as elderly members of our society. This includes those working in care homes which may cater for young as well as old, as well as those working to care for people in their own homes. Many care workers are being asked to work with little or no PPE at all. Care work seldom receives the acknowledgement it deserves, perhaps now is a good time.

I live on Underhill Rd near the junction of Melford Rd and would like to join the clapping for the NHS. Is anyone else on Underhill going to join?

Great effort on Landells tonight - probably every other house joined in on our stretch of the road. It was quite moving.

Was pleasantly surprised around Wood Vale. More houses than not clapping of those I could see from my window. A few started early and were loud enough to alert me to the time!
