wee quinnie
Hi all,My mum and auntie (in their 80s), are both in self isolation at present (separately), I have been phoning them a lot to support them, and to make sure they're ok for groceries and a chat, but they are both (unsurprisingly) thinking they are going to off their heads with boredom, with being confined to base.Any suggestions beyond reading and gardening? KidKruger
Of all age groups I?d have thought people in their 80s would be the best equipped to deal with no internet - having spent most of their lives pre-internet ! Blah Blah
Anything arts and crafts (if they are creative). That could be anything from screen printing to making wicker baskets. There are kits for all sorts of things online. Do either of them fancy drone flying? :D Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/251190-how-to-keep-yourself-going-without-the-internet/#findComment-1410226 Share on other sites
Alan Medic
I was amazed how much I enjoyed doing a jigsaw I was given as a present. I hadn't done one since childhood. I found it addictive. You're likely to find one in charity shops I believe if you want an inexpensive trial run.
