Very small the ones in the cemetery

Got quite a few blackberries in the fields behind Sainsburys today - enough to make jam with. Thanks for the tips El Pibe! There were still quite a few unripe ones there which should ripen in the next week or so, if anyone's interested.

I picked quite a lot of blackberries on the cemetery (Nunhead) a couple of weeks ago and made jam of it! People are also picking around One Tree Hill.

Don't forget to leave some for birds and little beasts - they need to get their winter fat on, and if the pickings are already slim, they will go hungry.

Make sure you pick them before the 29th September - that's when the devil spits (Michaelmas Day)!
