yes James, I do not have twitter so your question was not clear regarding widening the pavements. My music by request. was to highlight noise. I would prefer music but realise this is about distancing. "Some time", is as long as it rakes to move some plastic barriers/cones.some time as in relation to Southwark councils roadworks being done puts a different slant on it. thanks.

drewd there are road works happening for the next few months on Overhill. There was a letter that I can't find now, they've already started by the junction at Belvoir. Seems like they're doing it bit by bit, there are some signs on trees at the Belvoir junction.

Hi James,

Could we have a bonfire ban ? Not barbecues, just bonfires, or burning garden waste.

Our neighbours have been burning their garden waste during the day. I've told them to stop a week ago as they were burning it mid afternoon and I've had to do it again today.

I have asthma and I think its utterly ridiculous for people to be doing this especially during the lockdown, when we spend all day inside and have to keep doors and windows closed because someone is being a nuisance. A few councils have banned oar advised against this. Currently no guidance on the Southwark website.Only advise is to call a number and report it. Could we have some clarity regarding this ?

Conway are at it again, today notices have appeared on cars around the junction of Upland and Barry roads requesting no parking from today with no prior notice that parking restrictions are being imposed.

Not good enough in a period when people are still being asked to stay at home and some residents are on enforced isolation

Please sort this sort of p!ss poor behaviour from Conway out !

There used to be a clear leaflet from Southwark which stated that bonfires must only be lit once a month for 1 hour at dusk. They probably don't produce it anymore because they assume that sensible, intelligent people would use the brown bins for their garden waste...but as we all know- there are some people who will not pay the ?30 a year for the bin and think they will burn it. We are in a smoke control zone and it stands to reason that a bonfire is totally anti-social, rude, selfish and unnecessary.

I?d be very interested to know the exact amount of residents living on the streets mentioned above who have requested the proposed permeable filters and then what proportion of the voting electorate per street, this request represents?

Is a majority on each street in favour of permeable filters? In short, is this being driven primarily by a majority of residents or by the council?

Cllr McAsh was doing door to door lobbying of people on Melbourne Grove using the Dulwich Village proposed changes as the Trojan horse to drive home the changes on Melbourne Grove and now he can't go canvassing support door to door (repeating the 40% traffic increase lie) he is using the cover of Corona-virus as the catalyst to fast track this change through.

Using Corona-virus for political gain is the most shameful opportunism and utterly beyond reproach. One would have expected better from Labour.

I'd also be interested to know how many residents of these street are 100% practising social distancing themselves. How many have children that have been out with their mates, how many have been for dog walks with friends, how many have had the odd evening drink with neighbours...

There are lots of streets that are in a similar position to those mentioned. It seems very odd to cherry pick a few for special treatment. Almost as if there is a hidden agenda. Wasn't the whole CPZ thing based on a disproportionately small number of residents requests that happened to fit with the councils agenda ?

In spite of James's post saying "The council is considering 'permeable filters' on certain roads.", this survey is not a council survey, it's a councillors survey whereby if you fill in the contact details you're granting permission to be contacted by the Labour Party. There is no way on knowing how the information provided will be used and whether or not council officers will give any credence to the results.

Somebody near me (North Cross Road/Crystal Palace Road area) has just lit a bonfire or similar outside. I have had to close the window.

Smoke gets into the lungs. We are in the midst of a pandemic which is killing people via a virus which attacks the respiratory system.

Has Southwark Council issued any guidance on bonfires? I understand that other councils (?Lewisham?) have. I did a search on the Southwark website but couldn't find anything relevant.
