Unlike Southwark, Lewisham publishes a map of the furthest distance offered by secondary schools last year. You can see that all on-time applicants to forest hill boys were offered a place (I think this is for Sept 2019 start). https://lewisham.gov.uk/myservices/education/schools/school-admission/applying-to-start-secondary-school/school-admission-distance-map
Also, catchments do not exist for any of the local schools. In other areas there are catchments, this is where if you live within a certain fixed distance of a school you are either guaranteed or prioritised for a place over people living further away.

    • Hello, I'm from Ireland and would love my children to be able to know the language - I can speak it but I'm not so good at teaching it. If there's anyone local who used to teach Irish at primary school (preferably Connemara Irish) and who'd like to tutor 3 boys aged 7-10 for an hour or two a week please do let me know. Thanks, Sarah
