I no longer drive. I got rid of my car Feb 2019 and cannot buy another one due to failing eye sight.


I use public transport to get to Sainsbury's and use a Shopping Trolly.

If I fill the Shopping Trolly I cannot lift it on and off the P13 bus so I usually lug it back home.

It's about a mile.

Well at least it is down hill part of the way.

A real drag when its wet and windy.


I cannot stock up in one trip so I do this trip on a near daily basis.

Finding the shelve empty is a nuisance as I cannot just pop back in the car and go somewhere else.


There are people a lot worse off than me. What can you do.

So many selfish people filling there cars to the roof with goods.


The supermarkets need to put a block on people taking multiple items.

I'm old enough to of lived through Post War Rationing.

I wasn't aware at the time but my mother would of been.

DF - An uber from lidl is between ?5 and ?8. Probably less from Sainsbury DKH.


I usually go once a month and get an uber back. It saves me shopping each week and avoids having to pop out for odd bits in the week, so saves money.


It might be worth thinking about that, or linking up and shopping with a friend?


I also used to trundle back from DKH with a trolley, but don't have all that time now.

If you go into the curry places of Tooting, you'll notice that they have small buckets beside the toilet with water in. So guess what, the Indian dude who is making your curry has just washed his arse with his own hand and is highly unlikely to have washed it properly afterwards. Food for thought.

Ridiculous comment.

If he was unhygienic enough to poison customers, he'd be poisoning his family and friends too.

You've been eating from curry houses for years, right ?

The implication that Indian subcontinent people are unclean is at best really really ignorant.

Funny how many from that region regard use of toilet paper as unhygienic, because we just wipe it around our ass without washing, whereas they wash.

As I've mentioned above yesterday, toilet paper is unnecessary, it's just a cultural preference.

What do you think people were doing in the UK 100yrs ago ?

Mate, are you suggesting that India is more hygienic than the U.K? Because if so, you are the ignorant one.


As someone who has been to India, believe you me, they clearly do not wash their hands properly, as quite often after eating out, you'll experience terrible ring of fire and awful diarrhoea. Not so much after a fat curry in the U.K.

Lots of Tinned Tomatoes. Big and Small tins.


Shelf FULL of Dried Pasta..

Unfortunately some A**ehole has SLASHED every single bag.


What do we do with someone who does that??


Whould THAT type of Person last 3 Months in prison.


If They did that in China or North Korea, they would spend the next 10 - 20 years doing Hard Labour.

Waitrose are doing bring your own container for loose pasta


Maybe this is the Lordship Lane Co-Op version of that :)

It's so depressing how people immediately resort to 'every man for himself' stockpiling BS. Some people would walk over their own granny just to get a packet of toilet roll (seriously, what is it about the toilet roll?). Everyone, please calm the fook down and stop selfishly hoarding.

If I was in the supermarket and someone, nabbed the last pack of beer that was on a good special offer I'd probably have a bit of a row with them too, even if they were really old and immobile.

      As a result of the Horizon scandal it now seems very clear that the Post Office management are highly disingenuous and not be trusted!  There needs to be a campaign launched to challenge the threatened closure, unless the Post Office can demonstrate beyond doubt that the branch is loss making - and even then it could argued that better management could address this. I hope the local media take this up and our MP  and a few demonstrations outside wouldn’t do any harm. Bad publicity can be very effective!

      It actually feels as though what I said is being analytically analysed word by word, almost letter by better. I really don't believe that I should have to explain myself to the level it seems someone wants me to. Clearly someones been watching way too much Big Brother.
