Lego, Duplo, plastic shape sorters, plastic vehicle toys = Yes, good, fine.

Anything plastic and noisy with flashing lights (apart from the baby's toy keyboard/piano)= HELL. NO. V-tech, this means you. The day I can chuck out our V-tech walker will be the happiest day of my life. Yes, over my wedding day/birth of my children. I hate that smug toy.

Thinking about it I don't actually have a problem with plastic toys. I have a problem with electronic toys that make loud irritating noises. Especially ones that play tunes that get stuck in your head.

I can totally relate to that. And yet, whenever we go for a playdate at someone's house who has lots of plastic-electronic toys, I have a pang of plastic toy envy!
