Yep.

As you enter the road from Crawthrew, you have two no entry signs in front of you, so you have to turn right & on each side of the road are clear signs that it is a one way street.

There is nothing to hint that a bike may be coming towards you.

Is that normal? A one way street in which two way traffic is legal.

Seems odd.

Sure they will get round to putting up signage; they usually do a little after they've painted the cycles on the carriageway. At the very least, they'll put a 'Except cycles' under a no entry sign but they'll often put up a sign that illustrates the contraflow showing the bike coming the other way. It seems to work reasonably well in other streets - aside perhaps from Melford Road where the parked cars on either make it a little bit of a lottery to choose to cycle against the main traffic!

Only Me! I believe Sustrans are campaigning for all new one-way layouts to be designed so that they are two-way for cycles.

Really? I'll have to check tho' I'm sure you re correct

And no there is nothing to warn motorists - I'm VERY careful as I make the left turn out of Spurling onto Crawthew

Roll on proper signage!

Is this what all the cones and temporary signs that have gone up today around Crawthew Grove/Spurling Road are about? They put a sign on my car today saying 'marking to be installed on 21/3 or we'll move your car'. Thanks for approximately zero days notice whatsoever.
I'll mosey on down there tomorrow to have a look. I hope whatever is being done is handled more efficiently than seemed the case in 2010, when they installed planning notices and road markings for a cycle contraflow in Bellenden Road, only to eventually remove them all. See the second page of the forum thread about it here: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,549542,564166#msg-564166

You should indicate when you are about to leave which is obviously a left turn.

    • There wasn’t a lot to it.  Pick a pub that’s likely to have space on the evening - ask the pub can we reserve the tables. Post date and time in here  it did grow to some quite big evenings.  But those early meet-ups were only 5 or 6 people. It grew from there  if it’s a date I can be in London I might try and get along
    • It's a tough one but I do think if the council provide the bins we should use them. We all should be doing our bit.
    • Great! I can't say there has been a vast number of interested people so far. Maybe it's a case of "if we build it they will come", as it were. We will get on the case and try to find a suitable pub  venue, and then a date. But I have a feeling the pub will want to be sure there will be a reasonable number of people there buying drinks, if we are booking a room, and at present I don't think we can give them that guarantee. Does anybody know how the people who organised it (I think Georgia was one?) did it before? Please PM me if you would rather not post it on here, thanks.
    • Thank you, I’ll take a look
