Hi

We've been looking at local nurseries for our (unborn!) child and would really appreciate any comments/feedback from parents of children currently at Oak Tree. We went along to the open day and met the new owners so understand that quite a lot of changes are planned which all sounded very positive (particularly, for us, longer hours and taking from younger age). I would just like to know how people find the staff and the current facilities; it's bothering me slightly that the outside space is quite small and on a day like today i would worry that the baby/toddler would be inside too much. Having looked round other nurseries I am aware that none have huge gardens so it may just be something we have to live with.

your thoughts appreciated.

Love it!

The staff are all lovely and really warm with the kids.

They provide a written report every week, with photos and details of what the toddlers have learned.

I don't mind the outside space being small as it's shady and very secure.

PM me if you need to know more.

Hi Verds,

I hope you don't mind me messaging you. I am looking for somewhere for my son who will be 20 months by the time I send him to nursery in Jan. I have his name down at Mother Goose Greendale, which I really liked due to the location, the oustanding ofsted report and the lovely outdoor space. I just happened to see this weekend that Oak Tree are now taking under twos. How old is your little one? You say that the staff are very warm, which is the most important thing really. Are there anythings about the nursery that you don't like so much?

Thanks in advance,

Clare

    • Today, after pressure from backbenchers, the goverent did a u turn on PIP cuts for the disabled but they are now proposing that existing claimant won't be impacted but new claimants will face a higher barrier to get PIP.  Therefore two people with the same condition and difficulties in day to day living might get treated differently depending in when their condition started.  This equates to an unfair two tier system and seems an ill thought knee jerk reaction. Please contact your local MP to ask them to vote against changes until it is properly thought through and disabled people are consulted on proposed changes.
