kristen
We saw a small black, little bit fluffy cat on the corner of Landcroft and Pellatt road shortly after Christmas. It was very friendly and jumped on to my knee when I bent down to pet it.We've just seen it again now and it's lost a lot of weight and fur. It looks like it's struggling with its back legs as well. We tried knocking on doors nearby but no one was in. We were very worried about it so have taken it to the vet to scan for microchip. If anyone knows anything about the cat or its owners please let me know. Thanks - I'll upload a pic later Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/248914-black-cat-possible-stray-corner-of-landcroft-and-pellatt-road/ Share on other sites
kristen
When we went back we weren't able to find it, so haven't been able to take it to the vet to get it scanned. It has lost a lot of fur from it's hind quarters and along it's back and is very skinny.I'll keep checking back to see if I can spot it again. singalto
If it?s a small black cat with a limp, it does live around that corner... It?s nice of you to worry about it.... sjw
Doesn't sound like it is well cared for even if it does live locally Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/248914-black-cat-possible-stray-corner-of-landcroft-and-pellatt-road/#findComment-1403284 Share on other sites
kristen
It's so hard to know if it's well cared for or not. From what I can see it's underweight and the loss of fur on it's back legs and back look like some kind of problem with fleas or mange. But it's almost impossible to guess at its circumstances. Cats get ill/fleas/lose weight in the best of homes.singalto: does the cat you're talking about have quite a lot of fur loss? I think the one we met must be well known as it's very friendly.
