Southwark have decided on the grounds of public safety, Nunhead Cemetery will be closed this weekend due to high winds. It will re-open on Monday if it is deemed safe to do so.

Storm Dennis is a big one. I heard the foreman tell the builders on our flats to tie everything down. Might be good advice for everyone.

A fair amount of branches and smaller fallen trees occurred last weekend at this site due to the storm, so closing is a good idea.

One wonders how much weaker many of the trees must be now, and again this weekend, to finally fall in coming months unexpectedly after shorter gentler winds which finish the job off.
