Chillaxed
OK, thanks red devil. Maybe I just needed a bit of hand holding and a couple of renditions of Kumbayah to make me feel better about my UPVC's. Eurostyl Poland
This is why i always wonder why UK manufacturers are soo expensive...We are really selling our windows like 30-40% cheaper with shipping than those in UK ...Just made a quick look at the pricelist. As an autor asked 700x1000 costs 300 punds here against 2k in UK.Regards,Michael Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/24800-cost-of-sash-windows/page/6/#findComment-869008 Share on other sites
Andy H
I have recently used WoodAndHome ? www.woodandhome.co.uk.They came next day for a survey and within 4 weeks supplied very good quality timber sash windows to my new extension, my builders fit them,They price was very competitive They provided all details in quotation and I knew what I was paying for. At the end i also replaced all other widows, this time they gave me a very good price including installation. malumbu
All opening windows are sash windows. The sash is the opening pane.Box sash windows is what you are tlaking about. I blame this ignorance on the government, on the EU, immigrants, education, etc etc Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/24800-cost-of-sash-windows/page/6/#findComment-981599 Share on other sites
mayallen
I had a window replacement done by clera windows https://www.clerawindows.com/ a few months back. The box sash window was actually invented in England in the the late 17th century. I had it single glazed. Box sash windows require toughened glass and 6.4 laminated security glass is also required. I also had obscure glazing solutions done. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/24800-cost-of-sash-windows/page/6/#findComment-1010814 Share on other sites
malumbu
Why laminated?
