You could phone the manufacturer and ask their advice, just in case it's something relatively simple you could fix yourself?

Could be something simple.

I had something caught in the Hose and it to made a strange noise...

Try disconnecting the hose and see if the noise goes away.

Also the filter may be clogged. remove the bag and check the filter.
