Just on looks alone the EU team have it. Look at the fkn state of Johnson and his ?I?m too gurning fat to

do up my jacket? side kick. And Johnson can?t do his tie up properly and his suit fits like a potato sack, along with his stupid ?I?m not really bald? hair do.

It?s shambolic, much like the whole stupid brexit negotiation.

But there we go, it?s what we?re lumbered with as we sink.

I'm trivialising things but the lack of gravity from the PM is shocking. It's like watching a pantomime as he almost burst into song about this fantastic Australia deal we are looking like getting. Corbyn annoyed in other ways but generally spoke well. Look at Gordon Brown or Sturgeon (or the late John Smith) at for how it should be done - seems to be a theme here....

Izal.

What a super blast-from-the-past.

Fragranced, if I remember correctly.

IZAL had a smooth side and a mat side, it smelt like paper mache, or a damp dog.

Wiping your arse was an exercise in destructive engineering, where you screwed up the paper many time to achieve a softer surface area. Or you risked a shiny side up slider, and your finger went through the paper.

Who the fk invented that stuff. I had a good 8 years of IZAL whilst at boarding school. And I reckon I could do a Izal over comb concert with all the tunes I?ve hummed on it.

It was a slightly disinfectant smell as I remember it, rather than fragrance. Did some rolls come with Government Property or similar on all sheets? Yes, a quick webcheck confirms; plus some more interesting stuff on the history of loo paper, such as https://wellcomecollection.org/articles/XOsAeBEAAEMRUqpd.

8 months? Ha! Get to the back of the queue blow--in, some of us under various noms de plume were extolling Izal's delights over a decade ago... https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/search.php?20,search=Izal,page=1,match_type=ALL,match_dates=0,match_forum=ALL

I remember how when my dad had to represent the country (for British Steel) he got a made to measure suit each time.

My mother did say 30 years later it maybe for the Geisha Girls but I suspect she worried over nothing - you need to look impressive for these trips. But Boris doesn't even care about that anymore - wonder if he's suffering some depression to be honest.

and to be fair - Corbyn never had to properly represent his country when something was needed from him - really needed when you pull out all the stops and rise to it.

Michael Foot was the one who really got it in the neck for being a scruffy git, especially when he rocked up at the cenotaph in a so-called 'donkey jacket'. Johnson is just as scruffy and unstatesmanlike, right down to the unkempt white hair, but one's a Tory and one wasn't...

Let's just agree that we are both people of taste. I expect some younger posters wont understand.....

Apparently it turned out the "donkey jacket" was quite expensive

Mind this was the year I brought a pair of DMs for a fiver that still fit me and are in good condition today :)

His tie isn?t straight is the least of my Boris concerns.

He?s a liar, untrustworthy and soon to be dragging us out of Europe without a deal of any kind. The one he was/is ?negotiating? was as much playing to his swivel eyed party members as it was bout the country. Now for ?those nasty Europeans? blame game to start.

And the deception continues in the form of the ?Australia style deal? when they know full well there isn?t such a deal, it?s a no-deal and they?re not honest enough to say that.

It?s a fk up, and who pays for that?

*writes the word ?we do? on the back of a fag packet*

He had an excellent opportunity to try to bring the country back together and tell the ERG where to go. He chose the dark side, not I expect that he actually believed in them. Just what was best for him. The sycophant [bill Cash] on newsnight on Thursday made things even worse referring to his book, and comparing to him Churchill. But I blame the party, and you out there who voted for him.

They do say judge a man on his shoes - but I guess Boris borrowed a pair as he forgot his own.

Johnson visited Northumberland this morning and said No Deal ?would be wonderful for the UK?.

Which kinda begs the question, if that's the case then why have we been wasting time, money, and resources these past 4 years trying to get a deal?

It's another example of the sheer contempt he has for people especially his own supporters that he will stand there and be so brazenly duplicitous, knowing that they will still back him.

Until his supporters start caring about being lied to, he'll continue to do it...

even Dutch PM (Dutch = more UK friendly than other countries) has tweeted

"Dutch PM Mark Rutte responds to Boris Johnson's declaration that he's ready to go to 'Paris, Brussels or Berlin' for a deal.

"I would invite him to stay in London and work hard," Rutte told reporters. "We have our own negotiator, Michel Barnier, so the capitals don't negotiate."

"

If one is a believer in the benefits of brexit. Short term disruption is a price worth paying. The short term seems to be the main focus of the remainiacs because it confirms to them that brexit is bad.

Certainly, this government has made a hash of the exit. But short term disruption aside....it will be nice to explore the potential upside of what the country voted for at least 3 times.....

Still wanging on about ?potential? upsides. 4 years later. Just to divert from the upcoming shitshow

For god sake man, have some self respect

The whole thing is led by charlatans. Even if you wanted to believe you can surely see the people leading are just the worst.

The only future is an indeterminate amount of years of fumbling and denying reality before rejoining because that is clearly the most advantageous position to be in.
