siousxiesue
I'm not sure if there is another term for this. I have a large, light airy room with double height ceiling. I'm really keen to erect some kind of green wall with living plants and wondered if anyone here had done the same? Looking for hints and tips. Or photos if you would be willing to share? PeckhamRose
I found some on Etsy the other day. I was thinking of doing some in the kitchen with herbs. But I can't find it on Etsy now. Your plan sounds fabulous! We don't have a big kitchen but I am sure what I did see would suit a big wall. yeknomyeknom
You should go into Pearspring on a quiet day and ask their advice. They are super knowledgable and can order things in at reasonable prices in my experience. Nigello
Be aware that light, even from a big window, decreases considerably even a short way away from the pane. You can get light meters but if not, ask advice about which plants will work best where you want to put them. Good on you for doing this - plants, inside or out, are great!https://www.instagram.com/stories/highlights/18001539373247353/?hl=en - Instagram plant enthusiast on light https://www.instagram.com/stories/highlights/17890206787219981/?hl=en Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/246659-indoor-greenery-wall/#findComment-1397316 Share on other sites
Sue
I don't know about indoors, but there was a green wall planted outside in Islington, and it sadly failed due to problems with the irrigation system so that many of the plants died.I would have thought indoors you'd have to be very careful about damp?I'm pretty sure that there are companies who specialise in this, if you Google. They may be able to advise you even if you aren't going to use them. And I agree that Pearspring may well be able to help. I have found them both helpful and knowledgeable. MrsR
The Honor Oak Pub, Brockley Rise have a lovely indoor greenery wall. It's huge. May be worth taking a look and speaking to one of the staff about maintenance etc. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/246659-indoor-greenery-wall/#findComment-1397506 Share on other sites
