EDNate
Luckily we have a tracker and quickly retrieved it ourselves. The car was taken and dumped on the corner of Court Lane and Druce Road. It is a family 4x4 with keyless entry. The keys are kept in a (tested and working) RFID blocking pouch when not in use. This means the thieves likely waited to intercept the signal when the keys were used by us, and probably then able to clone it to obtain access. We usually have a stop-lock, but unfortunately left it off this night by mistake. Please remain vigilant all ! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/245670-car-stolen-from-upland-road-new-years-day/ Share on other sites
Tractorlad
I'm glad there was a happy ending. To be honest, I don't see the point in keyless entry. I've disabled mine since it seems to bring more trouble than its worth. bigmacca1
Glad you got it back, When you say it had a Tracker fitted when you realised it was missing was it the police or the tracker company that plotted were it had been dumped ? Or was it a Phone App that pointed you to the location . I have installed additional cameras. What baffles me is how easy it must be for them to sell the cars on the black market. That must be where the authorities focus their efforts. One would assume they are taken out the country on shipping containers.
