brewski
Hi Has anyone successfully been able to draft proof their Victorian front door and been able to close it as well! I understand that it is possible to route some material into the door to help. if any one has done it it would be great to hear how.ThanksClare Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/245306-draft-proofing-victorian-front-doors/ Share on other sites
ianr
First locate the place(s) where draughts are occurring? The back of a hand, maybe moistened, or smoking joss stick may help with this. Sometimes it's virtually impossible to shove them through the brushes!Had you considered having one of those curtains in front of the door (on the inside obviously!) which are on a special rod which pulls back when the door is opened? I haven't got one in my present house, but I did have one in another home, and it was very effective.
