Just a heads up really, we all know this type of crime is prevalent but it goes quiet for a bit and perhaps we become complacent or just forget.

Last night at 11.30pm 2 guys on a moped, dressed in black and wearing balaclavas completely covering their faces, were driving around the Champion Hill/Dog Kennel Hill area. They quickly changed direction to follow that of a lone person out walking. They then took a turn into an area to what it appeared was to lie in wait for this person to pass by.

Person realised what may have been about to happen and legged it off in the opposite direction.

Just be aware, stay safe and remind your family/friends that this is still happening in our community.

    • Thank you so much for such a detailed reply. All that is really helpful! I don't know what kind of springs they are, but I will try to get underneath/inside  and find out! Thanks again x
    • Which streets are you talking about, exactly? All the streets near me seem quite clear of leaves. And why should council workers have to pick up other people's dog shit?  People who don't pick up after their dogs should not be allowed to have them.
