Where to dispose of xmas trees in Southwark?

I cannot find where to dispose of my tree this year. Is it possible to leave for the bins? And if so, general waste week?

Council usually do a general round up the first or second week of the new year. Leave it next to your bins.

Just get yourself a genuine plastic tree and it saves all this palaver every year!

Good question from the OP, now that Southwark Council charge for brown bins and don't automatically collect garden waste. I'll try and find out.

Hope you find out cactus. People did used to leave them (xmas trees) outside in past years and they were collected as garden waste but interesting to see how it will work this year after the charging system.

Then again, people do not bother to put out their blue/green/brown bins out on a normal week for collection so feel sorry for the bin men who have to lug things about.
