My windscreen wipers have been nicked!

Just discovered windscreen wipers have been stolen. Why would anyone do that? Can they be sold? Nobody else's in immediate vicinity have had theirs taken.

Car was parked in Everthorpe Road off Oglander Road. No, haven't reported it. Didn't seem like a spate, as it was just my car...(?)

Any theft should be reported even if you think it unimportant.

The police wont know of problem areas otherwise.

It is not theft, this and the reports of 'Stolen' wing mirrors..??

This is the result of mindless vandalism by drunken late night revelers..

Saw this some years back in Whately Rd. On way to work one morning saw

many cars with their Mirrors hanging off.

Have seen this sort of thing in other areas on one of those Police Camera Action programmes.

I wondered if it was just vandalism at first, but saw how carefully they had been taken off, without breaking or bending the attaching bits. So wipers can be sold on?

People nick stuff- wipers, hub caps, anything else that isn't nailed down- because they are thieving scum and have no social conscience. I expect all the rioters and looters from last year are out now so crime rates will rise again.
