You could not be more wrong MM.

Almost every sport is represented, is actually the problem. Its adopting sports where the olympic medal means very little to that particular sport, tennis, golf and football being examples.

Oh GG. I get the same reaction from my daughter.

Don't I appeal to any age group? :( :)

I dislike these games for the disruption they are causing and for the false sense of "everything's alright" that comes with it! I am now working for the NHS in Tower Hamlets with people in mental health crisis and our client group is increasing by the day with direct connections to the games, crowds, number of police, travel problems expected etc.

Pretty poor post MM - a touch of arrogance and superiority crept in didn't it? It is fine to think the Olympics are a load of BS you know!

And as for sports, the only ones I care about are football and cricket. Cricket is not included and the footy that will be contested is not real and has not even attracted ticket sales - so that tells you how rubbish it will be!

8am?? I wish! try 6:30am..in Can Wharf just 10 mins away from Stratford..so yes my journey will be affected.

Which proves my point!

If you're at your desk at 6.30am how the hell are the Olympics going to affect your journey to work? You'll be passing through London Bridge at 6am. I doubt you'll even notice any difference let alone it being "absolute bloody nightmare."

    • Article in today's Grauniad on how to save money on water bills. Though only if you are  on a meter. If you aren't on a meter, there's nothing you can do to reduce your bills, so far as I know. Though from an environmental point of view etc I guess it is always good to reduce your water usage where you can. https://www.theguardian.com/money/2025/apr/16/cut-water-bill-england-wales-best-ways-to-save?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other
