Does anyone have a view as to which perform best in this hard water area?

My newish ( one 2years old ) taps with ceramic discs are dripping like crazy .My old ones with washers are not .

Of course I don't recall make/model of new taps and anxious about getting and fitting new cartridge .

My ceramic disc taps in the kitchen lasted about 20 years before I needed to replace the cartridges. Much better than normal washers I reckon.

However, I discovered that my taps still drip for a few minutes after turning them off because the flow straightener insert in the mixer has been cracked open by a build up of limescale. Water in the mixer spout (already past the ceramic discs in the taps) therefore continues to drip.

not impressed with my kitchen ceramic mixer - only lasted a few years before having to replace the disc units and started dripping again recently. Cleaned them up and OK now - so may be a problem in hard water areas. That said ceramic taps are here to stay and I don't see others complaining.

Not replaced the old school tap washers in bathroom which have been there two decades
